WebSurface Book 3 very hot while in sleep mode I just picked up my Surface Book 3 after it had been closed in sleep mode since the previous day, and it was extremely hot. What would have caused this to happen? If you fully shut it down (for which there is no need nowadays) it should not happen. ActiveTough2772 • 1 yr. ago WebThe only way I can recommend using your SB closed, is by forcing the app you need to use to be only used by the iGPU. Otherwise the GPU from the base will exhaust straight on to your screen. One issue I’ve noticed is that if my screen goes to sleep while a game is running, the CPU fan stays on but the dGPU fan either slows down or stops.
